CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The No. 10 Virginia field hockey team (10-5, 3-2 ACC) travels to take on Richmond (6-7, 4-2 A10) on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 5:30 p.m. at Crenshaw Field in Richmond, Va. Please note that the time for this game has been changed to 5:30 p.m. from its initially-scheduled time.

Live stats will be available through a link posted on VirginiaSports.com. Live streaming video will also be available be available through the Atlantic 10 media portal.

Virginia comes into the game having won six of its last seven games including a 1-0 overtime victory over No. 2 Syracuse on Saturday.

Sophomore goalkeeper Carrera Lucas (Brooklandville, Md.) improved to 8-3 in the win over the Orange, picking up her fourth shutout of the season. Lucas leads the ACC with a 6.27 saves-per-game average and is fifth in the NCAA with a .775 save percentage.

Senior Lucy Hyams (Whitstable, England) scored the game-winning overtime goal against the Orange, the second time this season she has scored the game-winner in overtime against a top-10 opponent after giving the Cavaliers the win on the road at then No. 9 Boston College on Sept. 23.

This will be the second time this season Richmond has faced an ACC team after falling 5-1 at Louisville on Sept. 4. The Spiders are coming off a 3-1 road loss on Friday at JMU. Emma Johansson leads the team with 11 points, scoring a team-high five goals with an assist.

Virginia holds a 34-4-1 advantage in the all-time series and has won the last 10 meetings. The Spiders’ last victory over the Cavaliers was a 1-0 game in Charlottesville in 2005. In 2013, Virginia staved off an upset bid by winning 2-1 in a shootout.

Virginia returns to Turf Field on Friday, Oct. 21 at 5:30 p.m. to host No. 7 Louisville in the final regular-season ACC contest of the year. Admission is free for all regular-season home games at Turf Field.
