Kelsey Vonier and the Cavaliers have been ranked in the top-20 throughout all of the 2007 season. The team will host ACC-rival Duke on Saturday, October 27 in the final home regular season game. Vonier has been a part of the resurgence of the Virginia field hockey program, helping the Cavaliers to a 23-15 record over the last two seasons despite playing a top-10 schedule both in 2006 and 2007.
