WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.--Virginia Cavaliers Jessica Coleman (Oceanport, N.J./Shore Regional) and Lorraine Vizzuso (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex) were both named to the 1999 All-ACC team as announced tonight at the annual Field Hockey Awards banquet. This is the first time that either athlete has been so honored.

Coleman was named to the USA Senior Reserve team in 1998 and has continued her torrid scoring pace from high school this season for the Cavaliers. She has 21 goals on the season, which is the second-highest total in school history for a sophomore. Her 52 points is also the second-highest total for a sophomore and ranks fifth all-time for a single season. She was named ACC Player of the Week for her efforts on Nov. 2.Coleman ranks sixth in the nation in points scored with 52 and 8th in points per game at 2.889. She also ranks sixth in goals scored and goals per game (1.167). Against Appalachian State Coleman scored four goals, making her only the eighth person in school history to notch four goals in a game. She also recorded her first career hat trick this season. Coleman has been a part of nine of Virginia's 12 game-winning situations in 1999. She was also named to the New Jersey State Team of the Century earlier this fall.

Vizzuso is a fast scoring threat on the Virginia front line. She already ranks 12th all-time at Virginia in scoring as a junior. Her 29 goals ranks 14th and her 16 assists is also a top-15 career mark at UVA. She has two game-winning goals and one game-winning assist on the season.
