Hoos in Ninth Place After 36 Holes at Mason Rudolph

Franklin, Tenn. - Led by junior Anna Redding (Concord, N.C.), the Virginia women’s golf team finished the second round of play at Vanderbilt’s Mason Rudolph Championship in ninth place. The Cavaliers shot 1-over 289 for a two-day total of 3-over 579. Arkansas leads the field at 550.

Redding fired 3-under 69 on Saturday to improve to 26th place at 1-under 143. Freshman Beth Lillie (Fullerton, Calif.) continues to lead the team at 3-under 141. She is in 17th place after recording a second-round score of even par 72. Following Lillie’s opening round, a score correction resulted in her first-round effort being changed to 3-under 69 and changing UVA’s team total from 1-over 289 to 2-over 290.

UVA’s Morgan Gonzales (Chandler, Ariz.) is in 47th place at 147. She shot 1-over 73 on Saturday. Katharine Patrick (Houston, Texas) is in 53rd place at 148 and Julia Ford (Shrewsbury, Mass.) is 72nd at 156. Patrick finished the second round with a 75 while Ford posted a score of 77.

Kate Harper (Isle of Palms, S.C.) is 75th overall at 158. She is playing as a non-scoring individual competitor.

Sunday’s final round is slated to get underway at 8 a.m. Live scoring is online at Golfstat.com.
