FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The No. 14 Virginia Cavaliers finished 14th at the Mason Rudolph Championship at the Ironhorse Course at Vanderbilt Legends Club on Sunday.

Top ranked Duke shot 289 (+1) for the second straight day to catapult from third to first place with a 873 (+9). Second-ranked UCLA finished one stroke behind with a 874 (+10). The Cavaliers shot a 308 to finish with a 905 (+41) overall.

Georgia's Jackie Beers fired a four-under 68 in the final round to capture medalist honors with a 212 (-4). UCLA's Susie Mathews followed by one stroke with a one-under 215. Five players tied for third with an even 216 each, including UVa sophomore Leah Wigger (Louisville, Ky.). The third-place finish is her second Top 10 finish this season.

Freshman Lauren Mielbrecht (Gulf Stream, Va.) tied for 20th with a 222 (+6). Sophomore Sally Shonk (Noblesville, Ind.) finished with a 233 (+17), while sophomore Rachel Smith (Powell, Tenn.) followed by a stroke with a 234 (+18). Sophomore Ashley Mayo (Aventura, Fla.) rounded out the team scoring with a 254.

Virginia travels to Tennessee's Mercedes-Benz Collegiate on Oct. 8-10.
