The Virginia women's golf team continues to hold onto second place of 12 teams after the second round of the Landfall Tradition on Saturday.
Purdue holds a 12-stroke lead over the Cavaliers with a 591 (+15). Virginia shot a 299 on the day for a 603 (+27) total, while Wake Forest is third with a 605 (+29).
Individually, Tulsa's Leisl Hasbrouck holds a three-stroke edge to lead all players with a two-under 142. Purdue's Chirstine Boeljon follows with a 145 (+1). Virginia junior Leah Wigger (Louisville, Ky.)and Purdue's Nyrle Eikenaar are tied for third with a 146 (+2) each.
Sophomore Lauren Mielbrecht (Gulf Stream, Fla.) is tied for eighth with a 150 (+6). Junior Rachel Smith (Powell, Tenn.) is tied for 16th with a 153 (+9), while junior Lindsay Robinson (Huntington, W.V.) is tied for 22nd with a 156 (+12). Freshman Carly Truitt (Marysville, Ohio) is tied for 28th with a 158 (+14).
The final round of the Landfall Tradition begins at 9:12 a.m. at the Country Club of Landfall.
