UVA in 12th Place After 36 Holes at Landfall Tradition

Wilmington, N.C. - The Virginia women’s golf team is tied for 12th place after two rounds of play at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C. UVA shot 9-over 297 on Saturday for a two-day total of 21-over 597. Wake Forest leads the 18-team field at 572.

Freshman Julia Ford (Shrewsbury, Mass.) continues to lead UVA at the tournament. She bettered her first-round score by shooting 2-under 70 on Saturday and is tied for fourth place at 3-under 141. Sophomore Katharine Patrick (Houston, Texas) shot 73 during the second round and is in 38th place at 6-over 150.

Sophomore Anna Redding (Concord, N.C.) is in 63rd place at 153 while classmate Morgan Gonzales (Chandler, Ariz.) is 68th at 154. Senior Lauren Diaz-Yi (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) finished the round in 75th place at 157. Rachel Corry (Ridgefield, Conn.), competing as an individual, carded a round of 82 and is in 89th place.

Wake Forest’s Jennifer Kupcho holds the lead after 36 holes at 5-under 139.

Virginia is paired with North Carolina and Michigan State for Sunday’s final round. They will start play at 8:45 a.m. using a shotgun start. Live scoring is online at
