Six Cavaliers Play in Harder Hall Invite

SEBRING, Fla. - Six members of the Virginia women's golf team are participating in the 51st annual Harder Hall Invitational this week at the par-72, 6,151-yard Harder Country Club.

In first round action at the amateur tourney on Wednesday, Arkansas' Stacey Lewis shot a three-under 69 to lead the field of 100 players.

Junior Leah Wigger (Louisville, Ky.) is the top Cavalier with a 77 (+5) to tie for 19th. Junior Ashley Mayo (Aventura, Fla.) follows by one stroke with a 78 (+6) to tie for 27th. Freshman Kristen Simpson (Norfolk, Va.) is tied for 35th with a 79 (+7). Junior Lindsay Robinson (Huntington, W.V.) stands 54th with an 82 (+10). Freshman Carly Truitt (Marysville, Ohio) is tied for 61st with an 83 (+11). Junior Kira Mayo (Aventura, Fla.) is tied for 82nd with an 89 (+17).

Second round action at Harder Hall Invitational tees off on Thursday, Jan. 5.
