Weather Stops Second Round of Rucker Intercollegiate

Hilton Head Island, SC - The weather front that swept across the south Saturday played havoc with the second round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in Hilton Head Island, S.C. where the Cavalier women's golf team is competing. Heavy rains and lightning stopped play mid-way through the second round. The teams will return to the course Sunday and resume play. The tournament will be shorted to 36 holes due to the travel schedule of some teams.

At the time play was suspended Virginia was in fifth place in the 15-team field. It is UV's first tournament of the spring season.
