UVa Women's Golfers at LSU This Weekend

Charlottesville, VA The 28th-ranked Virginia women’s golf team plays at LSU’s Cleveland Golf Classic March 14-16 at the par-72, 6,424-yard University Club. The Cavaliers will be joined in the field by No. 14 Alabama, Augusta State, The College of Charleston, No. 13 Georgia, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis State, Mississippi , North Carolina, NC State, UNC Wilmington, South Carolina, Central Florida and No. 10 Wake Forest.

The tournament starts at 8 a.m. CDT on Friday and Saturday from the first and 10th tees. The teams will use a shotgun start Sunday starting at 8:30 a.m. Live scoring will be available at Golfstat.com.

Virginia’s lineup will include Lene Krog, Whitney Neuhauser, Joy Kim, Jennie Arseneault and Callie Nielson. The Cavaliers finished third at the Qdoba Invitational in Miami in their last outing Feb. 17-19. Kim, playing as a non-scoring individual was sixth overall at 222. Krog currently leads the team with a 73.47 stroke average while playing in all five tournaments this season.

Last season Virginia was 12th at the tournament, shooting 922. Leah Wigger led the Cavaliers with a 12th-place finish at 5-over 221.
