UVa Moves up to Third Place at Bryan National Collegiate

Browns Summit, NC - The seventh-ranked Virginia women's golf team moved up one spot into a third-place tie with Duke following the second round of play at the Bryan National Collegiate at Bryan Park's Champions Course in Browns Summit, N.C. Virginia shot 10-over 298 Saturday for a two-day total of 18-over 594. Wake Forest leads the tournament at 589 while Tennessee is second at 590.

Virginia senior Calle Nielson shot 1-over 73 in the blustery conditions to move up to second on the leaderboard at 1-over 145. She trails Duke's Laetitia Beck by two shots heading into Sunday's final round. UVa freshman Portland Rosen moved up to eighth place at 3-over 147. She shot 74 during the second round.

Brittany Altomare is in 13th place at 148 after carding a 74 Saturday. Joy Kim shot 77 and is 40th at 154. Nicole Agnello is in 60th place at 159. Elizabeth Brightwell, playing as a non-scoring individual, is in 68th place at 161.

The tournament's final round will take place Sunday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
