Cavaliers Move up to 12th at Murphey Collegiate

Athens, GA - The No. 15 Virginia women's golf team is in 12th place after 36 holes of play at the 23-team Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the University of Georgia Golf Course. Virginia stands at 631 after shooting 311 during Saturday's play. Duke continues to lead the tournament. The fourth-ranked Blue Devils shot 300 for the second straight day to stand nine shots ahead of No. 2 Auburn at 600.

Virginia junior Calle Nielson remained near the top of the leaderboard, shooting 3-over 75 for a two-day total of 5-over 149. She will enter the final round tied for third, seven shots behind Duke's Lindy Duncan and trailing Wake Forest's Cheyenne Woods by two strokes.

The Cavaliers' Brittany Altomare moved up to 26th after shooting 76 Saturday. Her 36-hole total is 156. Nicole Agnello is 68th at 162, Lauren Greenlief is 95th at 166 and Eleana Collins is 100th at 167. Joy Kim, playing as a non-scoring individual, is 108th at 170.
