UVa Women's Golf Team in Ninth Place at Bryan National Collegiate After 36 Holes

Greensboro, NC - The 24th-ranked Virginia women's golf team is in ninth place after 36 holes of play at the Bryan National Collegiate being contested in Greensboro, N.C. The Cavaliers shot 15-over 303 Saturday for a two-day total of 602. Tennessee leads the 17-team field at 584, two shots ahead of Florida State.

Elizabeth Brightwell led the Cavaliers during the second round with a score of 1-over 73. She is in 21st place at 5-over 149. Brittany Altomare dropped back to 14th place at 148 after shooting 76 during the second round.

UVa's Lauren Greenlief is in 39th place at 152. She carded a 75 during Saturday's play. Briana Mao is 57th at 155 and Portland Rosen is in 70th place at 157.

Florida State's Jessica Negron, Tennessee's Erica Popson and Rachel Rohanna of Ohio State are tied for first place at 3-under 141.

Sunday's final round will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start . Live scoring is online at Golfstat.com.
