Charlotte, NC - Sporting a four-player lineup, Virginia will enter Sunday's final round of the 19th annual ACC Women's Golf Championships in fourth place. The tournament is taking place at Carmel Country Club in Charlotte. The Cavaliers played Saturday's second round without standout sophomore Jennie Arseneault, who was forced to withdraw from her second tournament in the last month due to a sore back. She entered the event ranked 35th in the latest Golfweek standings.

The Cavaliers shot 15-over 303 during the second round for a two-day total of 600. Duke leads the tournament at 571 followed by Florida State at 592 and Wake Forest is third at 593. North Carolina is six shots behind Virginia at 606. Duke will be attempting to win its 12th consecutive title on Sunday.

Despite the loss of Arseneault, the Cavaliers have two players in the top-10 after 36 holes of play. Rachel Smith, who opened the tournament with a 4-under 68 on Friday, shot 75 during the second round and is in fourth place at 1-under 143. Leah Wigger had UVa's best second-round score, a 2-under 70, to move up to sixth overall at 2-over 146.

Whitney Neuhauser shot 78 and remained in 23rd place at 155 while Kristen Simpson carded an 80 and is 26th at 156.

Florida State's Caroline Westrup owns a two-shot lead in the competition for medalist honors. She tops the leaderboard at 8-under 136. Duke's Amanda Blumenherst is second at 138.

Pending weather conditions, tee times begin at 8:30 a.m. Sunday as Maryland, Miami and Boston College begin play. North Carolina, NC State and Virginia go off at 9:20 while Duke, Florida State and Wake Forest will begin play at 10:10. Live scoring is on the Internet at Golfstat.com.
