Nielson, a junior from Nashville, Tenn., tied for medalist honors at the West Regional, helping UVa to a fifth-place finish and the team's third straight trip to the NCAA Championships.

Nielson finished fourth in the ACC in scoring average at 73.97. She led UVa in scoring five times this spring. In addition to her win at the West Regional, she also placed first in the Tri-Match at Ironwood this spring.
