2013 Golfweek All-Americans

Charlottesville, Va. - Virginia senior Brittany Altomare (Shrewsbury, Mass.) has been to Golfweek's first-team All-America squad. Altomare had previously been named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association's All-America team. She is the first player in the 10-year history of the program to earn first-team All-America honors.

This season, Altomare won the Atlantic Coast Conference individual championship and was named the ACC Women's Golfer of the Year. She was also named to the All-ACC squad for the fourth consecutive season.

It marks the fourth straight year she has earned some form of All-America honor. As a freshman, she was an honorable mention selection. During her sophomore and junior seasons she was named a second-team All-American. She becomes the first Cavalier to earn All-America accolades in four consecutive seasons.

Altomare led Virginia this season with a 72.23 stroke average. She was ranked No. 8 in the final Golfweek individual standings and finished 11th in Golfstat's rankings.

In addition to winning the ACC Championship, Altomare posted five top-three finishes during the season. She finished her career with 19 top-10 finishes, the most in UVa history, and also owns the school records for lowest single-season stroke average (72.23) and career stroke average (73.13).
