Charleston, S.C. - Incoming freshman women's golfer Lauren Diaz-Yi (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) was eliminated during the quarterfinal round of the 113th U.S. Women's Amateur Championship taking place in Charleston, S.C.

Diaz-Yi lost to Doris Chen of Chinese Taipei 4 and 3. It was the second matchup between the two amateurs in the last six weeks. Diaz-Yi defeated Chen, a rising junior at USC, 10 and 9 in the 36-hole final of the U.S. Women's Public Links Championship in June to claim that USGA title.
