UVa Golfers in 2nd Place at The Derby



Auburn, AL - The No 7 Virginia women's golf team is in second place entering Sunday's final round at Auburn's The Derby tournament. The Cavaliers shot 10-over 298 during the second round for a 36-hole total of 587. Second-ranked Arizona State moved into the overall lead at 584. No. 6 Alabama is in third place at 596.

Cavalier Whitney Neuhauser is in second place overall at 140. She shot 1-over 71 during the second round. Arizona State's Anna Nordqvist leads Neuhauser by three shots at 137.

Jennie Arseneault is fourth overall at 144, Calle Nielson is 15th at 151, Lene Krog is 26th at 154 and Joy Kim is 42nd at 156. Kristen Simpson, playing as a non-scoring individual, is 68th at 161.
