Wilmington, NC - The Virginia women's golf team had its best round of play at The Landfall Tradition to finish 13th in Wilmington, N.C. The Cavaliers shot 17-over 305 Sunday after turning in scores of 321 and 312 during the first two rounds of the event. UVa's 54-hole total was 938. Purdue won the tournament at 904, 14 shots ahead of runner-up Auburn.

Brittany Altomare led the Cavaliers with a 16th-place finish. She carded a 74 during Sunday's final round for a final score of 14-over 230. She either led the team in scoring or was tied for the lead in all four of UVa's fall tournaments.

Nicole Agnello was 24th at 232, shooting 78 over the final 18 holes. Elizabeth Brightwell and Portland Rosen tied for 62nd at 240. Brightwell shot 76 during the final round while Rosen posted a score of 77. Kaira Martin was 84th at 249. She shot 83 on Sunday.

Purdue's Paula Reto captured medalist honors by three shots, finishing at 2-over 218.

The Landfall Tradition was UVa's final tournament of the fall. The Cavaliers start their spring season March 2 at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Hilton Head, S.C.
