CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Virginia women's lacrosse goalkeeper Kim Kolarik (Sr., Riva, Md.) has been selected to play in the 2013 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association/Under Armour North-South Senior All-Star Game. The annual event, which showcases the nation's top seniors, is being held on Sunday, May 26 at 11:30 a.m. on the campus of Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa.

Kolarik was named to the 2013 preseason Tewaaraton Award Watch List after starting 18 of Virginia's 19 contests in 2012, posting a .405 save percentage. This season, Kolarik was the primary goalie for the Virginia team that advanced to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals. Kolarik was second in the ACC in saves-per-game, averaging 6.36 saves per contest, and ranked 31st in the NCAA with a 9.57 goals-against average.

The IWLCA selected 40 NCAA Division I players to be split into two squads. Kolarik was one of three goalkeepers named to the South team. She will be joined by senior student-athletes from Detroit Mercy, Duke, Georgetown, Holy Cross, Jacksonville, James Madison, La Salle, Lehigh, Louisville, Navy, Old Dominion, Penn, Richmond, Rutgers, Temple and UMBC. The North squad consists of student-athletes from Albany, Binghamton, Boston University, Canisius, Columbia, Fairfield, George Washington, Loyola (Md.), Massachusetts, Monmouth, Notre Dame, Penn State, Princeton, Stony Brook and Towson.
