CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Five Virginia players were named to the 2014 All-ACC Women's Lacrosse Academic Team as announced Monday by Atlantic Coast Conference Commissioner John Swofford.
Senior Liza Blue (Butler, Md.) earned the honor for the third time in her career. Junior Courtney Swan (Vero Beach, Fla.) and senior Maddy Keeshan (Greenwich, Conn.) both earned their second honors while seniors Lauren Goerz (Danville, Ca.) and Liz Colgan (Cockeysville, Md.) were named to the team for the first time.
To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
