Aug. 21, 2012
CHARLOTTESVILLE - The Virginia Cavaliers were honored by the IWLCA as a 2012 Academic Squad for their high team GPA. The Cavaliers were one of 42 NCAA I teams with a 3.0 or higher team GPA last season.
Each year, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association honors teams with the Academic Squad distinction. In 2012, 11 squads that participated in the NCAA Championships, including Virginia, earned the distinction.
