UVA Wins Three Races at Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. - The Virginia rowing team won three of six races on day two of the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational Sunday (March 12) on Melton Hill Lake. 

On Sunday, UVA competed against Tennessee, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State and Clemson. The Cavaliers posted wins in the Varsity Four (7:14.9), Third Varsity Eight (6:47.4) and Third Varsity Four (7:41.6).

UVA added second-place finishes in the Varsity Eight (6:28.7), Second Varsity Eight (6:35.3) and Second Varsity Four (7:23.8).

UVA won 14 of 18 races during the season-opening, two-day event. The Cavaliers return to action at the Pac-12 Invite in Redwood Shores, Calif., on Saturday-Sunday, April 1-2.
