V8 Places Fourth Among Collegiate Boats at HOCR

BOSTON, Mass. - Virginia's Varsity Eight finished fourth among collegiate boats in the Championship Eights at the 52nd Head of The Charles Sunday (Oct. 23).

UVA's V8 finished sixth overall and its time of 17:00.574 placed fourth behind Yale (16:47.046), Brown (16:47.739) and Michigan (16:53.339) among collegiate boats. UVA's Second Varsity Eight placed 14th overall and 12th among collegiate crews.

On Saturday, nine Cavalier alums, including assistant coach Kristine O'Brien, placed fourth in the Women's Alumni Eight.

The Cavaliers continue their fall season at the Princeton Chase in Princeton, N.J., on Sunday, Oct. 30.
