CHARLOTTESVILLE - The University of Virginia women's rowing team returns to action on Sunday (Oct. 19) at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Mass. The Cavaliers are scheduled to have crews compete in the championship eight, the championship four and the youth eight competitions on Sunday.

Often referred to as "America's Fall Rowing Festival," the Head of the Charles Regatta hosts men's and women's teams from across the country. This is the 39th Head of the Charles Regatta.

Virginia opened its 2003 fall season with strong performances at the Head of the Mon Regatta in Morgantown, W.Va., on October 4. UVa crews won the varsity eight and varsity four competitions at the Head of the Mon. The Cavaliers also had crews finish second in the novice eight and varsity four.
