Former Cavalier midfielder Sarah Huffman joins the coaching staff this season as an undergraduate assistant coach. Huffman concluded her Cavalier playing career last year.

A four-year starter, Huffman was one of the top players in Virginia history. She was a two-time NSCAA All-American, a two-time Soccer America MVP, and a three-time first team All-ACC selection. In 2004, she was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year, and was also Co-MVP of the ACC Tournament as the Cavaliers won the first conference championship in school history. She ended her career with 28 assists, second most in school history, while also tallying 12 career goals.

The native of Flower Mound, Texas has also been a veteran of the United States U-21 National Team over the past several years.
