Brian Named to USWNT Roster for Mexico Friendlies

CHARLOTTESVILLE - Virginia senior midfielder Morgan Brian (St. Simons Island, Ga.) was one of 28 players named to the United States Women's National Team's roster for a September training camp and a pair of friendlies against Mexico. Brian was the only collegiate player named to the squad.

The United States and Mexico will play Sept. 13 at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah and Sept. 18 at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester, N.Y.

Brian has made 12 appearances for the USWNT since her debut in June, 2013, scoring two international goals. Her first international goal came against Mexico in a 7-0 victory on Sept. 3, 2013 in Washington.

The United States Women's National Team is preparing for CONCACAF qualifying for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. The qualifying tournament will be held October 15-26 with games in Kansas City, Chicago, Washington and Philadelphia.
