As we continue through the 2017 season, members of the Virginia women’s soccer team took some time to sit down and answer a few questions to provide a little insight and help our fans get to know them better as student-athletes.

What do you love most about competing as a Virginia Cavalier?
Representing our University and competing alongside my teammates.

Why did you choose Virginia?
I chose Virginia because it is an amazing academic institution, the coaches make Grounds feel like home and the team family, and of course it is absolutely beautiful.

What will be your lasting memory of your time as a Virginia Cavalier?
It probably won’t just be memories of time, but the relationships that I know I will continue long after I leave.

What defines a Cavalier?
Someone who works for the team and is committed to continuous improvement.

Who or what motivates you in your sport?
My parents

What are your goals for the season?
Win the national championship with my sistas!

Sarasota, Florida

Lessons in Making

Honey Bunches of Oats of course

Favorite movie?
Pitch Perfect or Mama Mia (it’s a tie)

What would you sing at Karaoke night?
Anything Pitch Perfect or ABBA…bring…it…on

Reliable, hardworking

Who is your hero and why?

Wonder Woman because she is an absolute boss.



Name one thing most people probably don’t know about you?
I won a scooter at my kindergarten carnival.

Besides your own sport, what’s a sporting event on Grounds that fans need to experience at least once and why?
Track & Field! The meets are so enjoyable. They’re relaxing yet so so so entertaining. 

If you could play any other sport, what would it be?

If you could give any advice to younger athletes entering the sport what would it be?
Use the lessons you learn from this awesome sport in other parts of your life.
