Crimi Named Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Virginia junior Beth Crimi was named SAA Player of the Week as the Cavaliers went 4-2 last week, including a sweep of SAA opponent UNC-Charlotte.

Crimi, from Middle Island, N.Y., went 8-for-17 (.470) for the week, with three runs scored, four RBI, four doubles and one home run. Her homer drove in three runs and proved to be the difference in an 8-5 victory over East Carolina. In the second game of the doubleheader versus UNC-Charlotte, Crimi went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. For the week, she posted a slugging percentage of .882.
