Game 1
Boston College pitcher Jessica Dreswick didn't need much from her offense after tossing a complete-game shutout. The right-hander struck out five batters, walked one and surrendered only three hits to the Cavaliers. She retired 12 of the final 13 batters of the game to earn her ninth win of the season.
The majority of the game's scoring came in the top of the third inning when the Eagles plated three of its four runs. With runners on second and third and two outs, Jordan Chimento legged out an infield hit to shortstop that allowed Madison Paulson to score. The next batter, Tatiana Cortez cleared the bases with her first triple of the season to make the score 3-0.
Boston College's Annie Murphy had three of the Eagles 10 hits in the first game. Cortez finished the game 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
On the defensive side, center fielder Iyana Hughes (Manteca, Calif.) recorded her team-best, fifth outfield assist when she started the relay throw that cut down an Eagle baserunner at home in the top of the sixth inning.

Senior Madison Labshere (El Cajon, Calif.) had two of the Cavaliers three hits in game one including her third double of the season.
Game 2
The Eagles captured the momentum of the game after escaping a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the third inning. In its ensuing at bat, Boston College collected two hits and scored two runs to open the early 2-0 lead.
The Cavaliers responded an inning later by sending 10 batters to the plate and racking up six hits. A total of five runs came across marking the third time this season Virginia has scored five or more runs in a single inning.
Danni Ingraham (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) drove in the Cavaliers' first run of the game with an RBI single through the left side that scored Erika Osherow (Darien, Conn.). The next batter, Ashlee Davis (Gilbert, Ariz.) brought home two more runs on a single to left field.
Virginia loaded the bases with one out and last weekend's hero, Kaitlin Fitzgerald (Placentia, Calif.), drove a 3-1 pitch up the middle that allowed Ingraham and Ashlee Davis to score. The hit proved to be the difference in the ball game after two Eagle runs pulled Boston College within a run in the top of the seventh.
Osherow, who pitched six innings in game one, tossed the final 3.2 in game two to earn her fifth win of the year. She allowed a pair of unearned runs and just two hits while facing 16 batters.
