Virginia Softball Hosts UVA Cavalier Classic

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The University of Virginia softball team will open the home portion of its season by hosting the 2000 UVA Cavalier Classic Friday through Sunday, March 3-5 at The Park on the North Grounds of the University of Virginia. In addition to Virginia, Delaware, Eastern Kentucky, Ohio University and Wright State are also competing in the tournament.

The 'Hoos enter the tournament with a 2-11 record and open the tourney by hosting Delaware (2-3) at 11:00 a.m. Virginia then plays Ohio at 1:00 p.m. At 3:00 p.m., Delaware takes on Ohio to conclude the first day of competition. Eastern Kentucky (2-6) and Wright State (6-6) begin play in the UVA Cavalier Classic on Saturday.
