Tuesday's Softball Doubleheader at Radford Postponed

March 6, 2017

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The scheduled softball doubleheader at Radford on Tuesday (March 7) has been postponed due to impending inclement weather. The two teams will instead play a single game on Wednesday (March 8) at Radford with first pitch slated for 2:00 p.m.

The non-conference matchup on Wednesday will be streamed on the Big South Network as originally planned. The game can also be followed via live stats courtesy Radford athletic communications.

Wednesday will mark the first midweek game for the Cavaliers who enter the contest with a 9-10 overall record. Virginia dropped two of three to Virginia Tech at home over the weekend. Radford (8-6) is coming of a 2-2 weekend with wins over Youngstown State and Furman on Sunday at the Upstate Classic hosted by USC Upstate in Spartanburg, S.C.

Virginia returns home this Friday (March 10) to host its second-consecutive Atlantic Coast Conference weekend series when it hosts Boston College. First pitch on Friday evening is set for 5:00 p.m. at The Park. Admission to all Virginia home games is free.
