CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.--The Virginia softball team hosts Fordham in a doubleheader Thursday (March 20) at The Park. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Admission to all home Virginia softball games is free to the public. Live statistics will be available and linked through VirginiaSports.com.

The Cavaliers (3-21) come into the series after dropping a three-game series against Syracuse last weekend at The Park. Junior Heidi Velk (Murietta, Calif.) hit two home runs last week, as did freshman Madison Labshere (El Cajon, Calif.).

Fordham is 12-14 on the season and is led by Amy Van Hoven, who is hitting .294, and Elise Fortier, who has five home runs on the season. Lauren Quense is 4-4 with a 2.02 ERA and Michele Daubman is 7-7 with a 3.29 ERA.

The Cavaliers return to action next Wednesday (March 19) for a doubleheader against George Mason at The Park. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
