CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The University of Virginia softball team's Southern Atlantic Softball Alliance (SASA) doubleheader at East Carolina University which was scheduled for today (March 30) will be played on Sunday, April 1 beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Greenville, N.C. The doubleheader was originally postponed because of inclement weather.
Prior to playing East Carolina on April 1, Virginia will open Atlantic Coast Conference play with a doubleheader at North Carolina on Saturday, March 31. The first game of the doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
The Cavaliers have won 13-consecutive games and stand at 30-8 on the season. Virginia is coming off a doubleheader sweep over Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C. on March 27. UVa won the first game 9-0 and took the nightcap 5-4.
