CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.--The Virginia softball team travels to Lynchburg, Va., Wednesday for a doubleheader at Liberty. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN3. Live statistics will also be available at

Virginia (15-36) dropped a three-game series at No. 10 Florida State last weekend. The Cavaliers have broken their single-season team record for home runs with 51 and are led by freshman Allison Davis (Oak Hill, Va.) with nine. Sophomore Kaitlin Fitzgerald (Placentia, Calif.) leads the squad with a .372 batting average.

Liberty (24-24) went 2-1 against Coastal Carolina last weekend in Lynchburg. Alexia Taylor leads the Flames with a .351 average and six home runs. Chandler Ball is 17-8 with a 3.17 ERA in the circle.

The Cavaliers lead the all-time series, 44-18, and have won the last seven meetings.

Up next, Virginia concludes the regular season with a three-game series at Syracuse April 25-26.
