Softball Adds Pair to Incoming Class

May 15, 2018

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia softball head coach Joanna Hardin announced the addition of Jessica Hanflink and Madi Wilson to the Cavaliers’ recruiting class on Tuesday (May 15).

Hanflink hails from Ormond Beach, Fla., while Wilson brings a local flair out of Chesapeake, Va. Both have enjoyed a wealth of success in high school and on the club circuits.

The duo joins eight incoming freshmen from the early signing period to grow the Cavaliers' class to 10.

“We are really excited to add Jessica and Madi to the team,” head coach Joanna Hardin said. “They are both excellent students and competitive athletes who have balanced athletics and challenging academics throughout high school, giving them a strong understanding of how to compete on and off the field.

“Madi will add depth behind the plate and on the corners of the infield,” Hardin continued. “Jessica brings an influx of speed and a lot of savvy to the outfield. We’re looking forward to welcoming both of them in the fall.”
