Virginia Reveals Fall Softball Schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia softball head coach, Joanna Hardin, announced the program’s fall schedule that features six game dates, including three at The Park.

The Cavaliers will open up on the road with a doubleheader with Longwood and Virginia-Wesleyan on Oct. 1. Both games will take place at Lancer Field in Farmville Va. The first home contest of the fall will be on Friday, Oct. 6 against Richard Bland CC at 7 p.m.

Virginia returns eight letterwinners from a year ago and welcomes in a recruiting class of nine to the 2018 squad. In Hardin’s first year at the helm, the Cavaliers qualified for their first ACC Tournament since 2013 and posted nine ACC wins, the most in six years.

Additional home dates include Oct. 20 against Liberty and Oct. 22 against UVA wise.

Admission to all UVA home games is free.
