PACIFIC PALISADES, CALIF - Virginia women's tennis fourth year Henriette Williams fell in the second round of the qualifying stage of the 2002 ITA All-America Championships at the Riviera Country Club in suburban Los Angeles. The three-stage event (pre-qualifying, qualifying, and main draw) began on October 5 and will continue through October 13.

Williams started her play at the tournament with a qualifying frist round victory over Dianne Hollands of Arizona 6-2, 1-6, 6-3. However, in the afternoon's second round she fell 6-4, 6-3 to the No. 12 seed, Jaime Wong of Georgia Tech.

Williams and the rest of the Cavaliers will return to action October 18-20 as they participate at the Old Dominion Invitational.
