BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Virginia women's tennis team concluded the ITA Atlantic Regional Tuesday with a pair of runner-up finishes at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center. Li Xi (Kunming, China) was the singles runner-up, while the team of Erin Vierra (Norwell, Mass.) and Maci Epstein (Winter Park, Fla.) was the doubles runner-up.

In a matchup of the top two seeds in the singles draw, top-seeded Petra Januskova of Penn State downed second-seeded Xi 6-2, 6-2, in Tuesday's final.

In doubles, Virginia had a pair of teams in the semifinals. Vierra and Epstein upset top-seeded Januskova and Chelsea Utting of Penn State 8-6 in the semifinals, but fell to William & Mary's Maria Belaya and Jeltje Loomans 8-2 in the final. Belaya and Loomans had defeated Virginia's Xi and Stephanie Nauta (Galveston, Texas) in the semifinals.
