WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Three University of Virginia women's tennis players, second-year Jennifer Tuchband (Millburn, N.J. / Millburn), second-year Henriette Williams (Raleigh, N.C. / Broughton), and fourth-year Christie Schweer (Houston, Texas / Memorial), lost third round matches Sunday night (Nov. 6) at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association East Region Championships and were eliminated from the tournament.

Tuchband lost to Pennsylvania's Shubha Srinivasan, 6-3, 6-1, while Williams fell to Temple's Tamara Truta, 6-2, 6-3. Meanwhile, Schweer dropped her third round match to Temple's Danira Penic, 6-2, 6-0.

Schweer, Williams and Tuchband were the last three remaining Cavaliers in the ITA Regionals.
