RALEIGH, N.C. - The No. 12 Virginia women's tennis team opened a two-match weekend road-trip with a 5-2 win over NC State on Saturday at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. The Cavaliers (13-4, 4-2 ACC) snapped a two-match losing streak with the win, while the Wolfpack (5-12, 1-5 ACC) suffered its fifth straight loss.

Virginia opened the match by sweeping all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead. Hana Tomljanovic (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Erin Vierra (Norwell, Mass.) topped Elisha Hande and Chloe Smith 8-3 at the No. 2 position.
