Jennifer Tuchband Named to All-ACC Tennis Team

RALEIGH, NC - Fourth-year Virginia women's tennis player Jennifer Tuchband (Millburn, N.J.) was named All-ACC Thursday night at the ACC Tennis Banquet. Tuchband becomes the first Cavalier since 1998 to earn all-conference honors.

Tuchband has helped lead the Cavaliers to a 14-8 record this season and a No. 34 national ranking. She has posted a 27-8 record in singles, setting a new school record for wins by a fourth-year. Currently she is ranked No. 86 in the nation in singles. In doubles, Tuchband was teamed with Henriette Williams (Raleigh, N.C.) for a 18-10 record and a No. 50 national ranking.

The Cavaliers will begin play Friday at the ACC Tournament, being held at the Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center in Raleigh. The No. 5 seed Cavaliers will play No. 4 seed Georgia Tech at 9:00 a.m.
