CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - No. 17 Virginia concludes the regular season with home Atlantic Coast Conference matches against No. 32 Florida State and No. 10 Miami this weekend at Snyder Tennis Center.

The Cavaliers host the Seminoles on Saturday (April 20) at 11 a.m. and Hurricanes during Senior Day on Sunday (April 21) at 12 p.m.

Virginia (14-8, 7-2 ACC) and Miami (16-4, 7-2 ACC) are tied for second in the ACC with seven points each, while Florida State (12-7) is tied for seventh with four points.

The Cavaliers have won 11 of their last 13 matches and are coming off a 4-3 win at No. 19 Georgia Tech and 4-3 loss at No. 14 Clemson last Sunday.

"The Florida State and Miami matches are always two of the best we have each season," Virginia head coach Mark Guilbeausaid. "Our 4-3 win last season at Florida State propelled us to be a host in the NCAA Tournament and put us in good position for the ACC championship. It's the same scenario this year."

Freshman Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) is ranked No. 12 in the latest ITA singles rankings, while freshman Stephanie Nauta (Galveston, Texas) is ranked No. 77. Elbaba, Nauta and senior co-captain Erin Vierra (Norwell, Mass.) lead the team with 13 dual singles wins each. Elbaba is 8-1 in ACC play, while junior Caryssa Peretz(Cherry Hill, N.J.) is unbeaten at 8-0.

Elbaba and senior Hana Tomljanovic (Boca Raton, Fla.) are ranked No. 89 in the latest ITA doubles rankings with a 11-2 dual mark. Elbaba and Tomljanovic have reeled off eight straight wins at No. 2 doubles. Vierra and Nauta are 7-6 and senior Maria Fuccillo (Rockville, Md.) and junior Li Xi(Kunming, China) have added a 7-1 mark at No. 3 doubles.

Seniors Fuccillo, Tomljanovic and Vierra will be honored prior to the match against Miami on Sunday. The trio will graduate as the all-time winningest class in UVa women's tennis history and participate in the program's fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament in May.

"Maria, Hana and Erin have meant a ton to our program," Guilbeau said. "I couldn't be more proud of them and their accomplishments over the last four seasons. They all have grown during their time at UVa. The new student-athletes that come into the program have an opportunity to better because of the example that Maria, Hana and Erin have set."

Florida State's Daneika Borthwick is ranked No. 57 in singles, while Francesca Sagarelli is ranked No. 108 and Amy Sargeant is ranked No. 110.

Miami's singles lineup features No. 53 Stephanie Wagner, No. 85 Kelsey Laurente and No. 112 Clementina Riobueno. Wagner and Lina Lileikite are ranked No. 39 in doubles and Laurente and Brittany Dubins are ranked No. 84.

Blount Eager to Assume Larger Role
The job will not be handed to rising sophomore Joey Blount. He'll have to earn it. This is head coach Bronco Mendenhall's program, after all. But after spending the 2017 season as free safety Quin Blanding's understudy, Blount is the leading candidate to take over in the secondary for the University of Virginia's all-time leading tackler.
