Peretz and Pierson Named to All-ACC Academic Team

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Virginia senior Caryssa Peretz (Cherry Hill, N.J.) and freshman Rachel Pierson (Princeton, N.J.) were named to the 2014 All-ACC Women's Tennis Academic Team as announced Wednesday (June 25) by Atlantic Coast Conference Commissioner John Swofford.

Peretz was named to the team for the second time, while Pierson earns the honor for the first time. In 2013-14, Peretz and Pierson helped Virginia to its first ACC regular-season and tournament titles, first NCAA quarterfinal appearance and school-best 24-6 record.

To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
