ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Cavalier first-year Lindsey Hardenbergh (Fairfax Station, Va.) continued her strong play at the Dwight Davis/Merrill Lynch Championships on the USTA Pro Circuit Friday with a 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 semifinal victory over Noel Scott. She will play third seeded Anda Perianu of Romaina, ranked No. 614 in the world in the final.

"It was another great performance by Lindsey today," said Cavalier assistant coach Troy Porco. "She did a great job of coming out strong and winning the first set. Scott picked up her game in the second set, but Lindsey was able to bear down and execute in the third set to get the win."

Hardenbergh, who is playing her first ever USTA Pro Circuit event, has advanced to the semifinals of the main draw after advancing from qualifying.
