DelPriore and Wink Reach Semifinals of ITA Regional

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Two members of the Virginia women's tennis team continued to advance in the doubles draw at the ITA East Regional Monday at the United States Military Academy. Second-year Rachel DelPriore (Williamsville, N.Y.) and fourth-year Douglas Wink (Greensboro, N.C.) reached the semifinals of the tournament.

DelPriore and Wink, seeded No. 5, advanced with a pair of wins on Monday. In the round of 16, they defeated Olivia Nix and Rashmee Patil of Yale 8-2. Later in the day, the duo topped No. 9 seeded Laura Peterzan and Preetbi Mukardan of Harvard 8-3 in the quarterfinals. DelPriore and Wink will play No. 2 seeded Marianne Baker and Ramona But in the semifinals on Tuesday.

In singles, DelPriore fell on Monday in the round of 16 to Dominique Liquori of Fordham.
