Stephanie Ross joined the Cavalier program as an assistant coach in February 2014. Ross previously served as an assistant coach at Dayton and High Point.

During her two seasons with UVA, Ross has helped lead the Cavaliers to a 17-14 (10-8 ACC) record in 2014 and 18-13 (10-10) in 2015.

Ross returned to her native Dayton, Ohio, for the 2013 season as the Flyers' assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. The previous two seasons, Ross was an assistant coach at High Point, where she landed recruits that played for the USA Women's Junior A2 National Team, as well as Prep Volleyball All-American and Senior Aces list honorees.

The 2009 graduate of Pittsburgh began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Xavier in 2009 and 2010, while also coaching at the club level for Renaissance and Team Z.

At Pitt, Ross was a member of the Big East All-Academic squad and a four-year starter for the Panthers, seeing time at multiple positions, but mostly as an outside hitter. Ross graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in sociology.
