Virginia (4-2) went 1-2 at the Pepperdine Invitational in Malibu, Calif., last weekend (Sept. 6-7). The Cavaliers fell to Colorado State (3-1) and host Pepperdine (3-1), before coming from behind to defeat UC Santa Barbara, 3-2.
Freshman Haley Kole (Tallahassee, Fla.) was named ACC Freshman of the Week as well being honored on the Pepperdine Invitational All-Tournament Team. Up next, the Cavaliers host the Cavalier Classic Sept. 20-21 against Seton Hall, Columbia and William & Mary at Memorial Gymnasium.
